Paramount is a Brisbane based target rifle club, shooting small-bore rifle (.22 calibre) and air rifle (.177 calibre). Both small-bore and air rifle target shooting are Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games events and are enjoyed by thousands of people around the world. Age, gender or disability are not limiting factors in our sport.

We are a target shooting club run by volunteers. The club shoots every Friday night, with some exceptions, at the Brisbane International Shooting Centre (BISC) within the Belmont range complex. Our range is all under cover, so we shoot Rain, Hail or Shine !! Paramount is a friendly club and we welcome visitors to book a spot one Friday night to come to the range and see why so many people enjoy target rifle shooting as a sport.

On the second Saturday of each month we also hold a Come and Try day which is another opportunity to visit the club and have a go at shooting a Small-bore target rife at a distance of 50m and an Air-rifle at a distance of 10m. Bookings are essential for visitors wanting to attend either Friday night or Saturday shoots, to ensure we have coaches available to assist.

At Paramount, we take safety seriously but we don't take ourselves too seriously.

We are one of the more social clubs in Brisbane and hold a number of functions throughout the year.

We are dedicated to helping all our members achieve their goals. For some, that might be enjoying a social shoot with the club on a Friday night. For others, it might be to progress to shooting in State, National and International competitions.

Some of our current members have reached the pinnacle of the sport, shooting and winning medals at the Olympic/Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games and World Cups. But they all started by coming along to the club to have a try.

The Club is seriously committed to the development of junior competitors. We often run introduction shoots for groups such as Schools, Girl Guides, Scouts and Cadets. Target shooting is a great sport for teenagers to learn self discipline, safety and control.

FRIDAY NIGHTS (our regular club night)

WHEN: We shoot most Friday nights, under lights. Arrival time is 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.

WHERE: Brisbane International Shooting Centre (BISC), in the Belmont Shooting Complex.

Enter via Old Cleveland Rd at Belmont, arrival time is 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.

WHAT: Visitors will get to experience .22 ISSF (Olympic) Target Rile on the 50mtr range

and .177 ISSF (Olympic) Target Air Rifle on the 10mtr range.

COST: Adult visitor/non member: $45 and Juniors U/18: $35

This includes all requirements (fees, targets, rifle hire & ammunition).

PLEASE NOTE: We do not have EFTPOS facilities but can accept Credit Card Payments or Cash

COME AND TRY (2nd Saturday of the Month)

WHEN: 2nd Saturday of the month bookings essential. Arrive 9.30am for 10.00am start
Our range is all under cover, so we shoot Rain, Hail or Shine !!

WHERE: Brisbane International Shooting Centre (BISC), in the Belmont Shooting Complex.

Enter via Old Cleveland Rd at Belmont, arrival time is 09.30am for an 10.00am start.

WHAT: Similar to Friday nights with the primary difference being our coaches are present exclusively for visitors and we finish with a sausage sizzle for those who want to stay for a chat.

COST: Adult visitor/non member: $50 and Juniors U/18: $40 when booked prior

This includes all requirements (fees, targets, rifle hire & ammunition).

PLEASE NOTE: We do not have EFTPOS facilities but can accept Credit Card Payments or Cash

GROUP BOOKINGS

By special arrangement, on weekends, we can conduct “come and try” sessions for groups of up to 20 people(min 10).

The cost is $60 per person and bookings are essential, a booking fee of $30 per person is required.

Special group rates and packages apply for schools, scouts, guides and clubs.

CORPORATE

By special arrangement, on weekdays, we can conduct corporate “come and try” sessions for groups of up to 20 people(min 10).

The cost is $100 per person and bookings are essential, a booking fee of $30 per person is required.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

For that special person we have Gift Certificates allowing 4 all inclusive visits to the club.
